A RECENT INSTALLATION BY NEXTECHNOLOGIES IN LANGLEY, BC

 

                  Recent installation of an 8 camera system using VEWTEK products.

 

                The home owner was building a new house and needed security cameras looking all throughout his property. The local crime in the area was bad due to squatters living on un-vacant land next door causing  drug related problems.

               The security camera installation consisted of 6 cameras on the house and 2 cameras at the gate entry on the gate posts. The gate was over 330 feet from the house which can pose a complication as the max distance of POE powered cameras is 330FT MAX. In a case like this we use a high powered POE+ switch that can achieve distances greater than 330 FT. by upping the power passed through the CAT6 cabling. The camera wiring to the gate was all run inside PVC conduit and we also used direct burial wire to make sure the wiring lasts a lifetime.

 

FURTHER WORK

 

             We also installed an VIDEO + VOICE IP gate intercom that when pressed goes directly to the home owners cell phone and 5 Wireless access points throughout his house to ensure strong wifi could be achieved through his entire house.

 

            We ran a direct HDMI link from the NVR to his living room TV so he could watch his security cameras on his TV. In addition a direct HDMI and USB link from the NVR to his office computer monitor for direct control of the camera system to make any programming changes he might need. He has the option to make any changes from any computer in his house using a web browser or with the camera system software.
